Yankees acquired Jose Molina

The New York Yankees acquired veteran catcher Jose Molina from the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday, trading minor-league right-hander Jeff Kennard.

Molina, batting .228 in just 39 games this season, gives the Yankees a backup to workhorse Jorge Posada behind the plate.
